Podium outing for Henderson at Penton Raceway with Crate Racin' USA
Matt Henderson was back behind the wheel of the Rusty Webb Racing No. 22 over the weekend for a doubleheader with Crate Racin' USA.
Among a 29-car field at Penton (Ala.) Raceway on Friday, Henderson qualfied fourth-fastest in his qualifying group which put him on the fourth-row for the 30-lap main event. Matt drove forward four positions to land on the podium in third. He trailed Jody Knowles and Joseph Brown in the $2,500-to-win feature.
On Saturday, the field bolstered to 43 Late Model entries and Henderson found himself in a B-Main after qualifying seventh-fastest in his group. Matt started 13th in the $3,000-to-win feature, but was caught up in a early wreck and finished 20th.
