Matt Henderson eighth in Governor's Cup; podium finish at I-75 Raceway

Taking part in the Governor's Cup weekend, Matt Henderson entered his name in the 53-car Crate Racin' USA field at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Friday afternoon.

Qualifying third-quickest in his group, Henderson finished third in his heat which locked him into Saturday's $10,000-to-win feature. In the 75-lapper feature, Matt made up two positions to land inside the Top-10 in eighth.

Henderson also competed in the CRUSA Street Stock division over the weekend, racing to a fifth-place outing on Friday before finishing seventh on Saturday.

Tagging on a Tuesday night event at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.), Henderson started seventh in the 25-lap feature and moved passed four competitors to finish third.
