Henderson closes out 2024 Speedweeks with Rusty Webb Racing
Sticking around in Florida for the final weekend of Speedweeks, Matt Henderson followed the Crate Racin' USA Winter Series to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) on Thursday afternoon.
With 91 Late Models checked in for the first night of the Clay by the Bay, Henderson qualified 11th-quickest in his group but charged forward in his 25-lap prelim feature to finish runner-up.
Looking for another strong preliminary outing on Friday, Matt laid down the seventh-quickest lap and once again marched forward in the $1,000-to-win feature to finish fourth when the checkered flew.
Locked into Saturday's $5,000-to-win feature on the fourth-row, Henderson was running inside the Top-10 when mechanical issues sidelined him for the remainder of the $5,000-to-win finale.
Matt currently sits third in Crate Racin' USA Winter Series points.
